Beijing Highlander Digital Technology CO., LTD., established in February 2001, is a high-tech and software enterprise, founded by Tsinghua students, with China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company and Tsinghua University as its major shareholders.

Pitching in the field of navigating electronic science, the company commits itself to the national high-tech electronic ships supporting industry. The Highlander products mainly include: Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) series products; Protected Data Unit (PDU); Vessel Monitoring and Management System (VMS); Steering Control System(SCS); RADAR etc. The VDR products have filled the domestic blank in this field. With seven years’ application history, our products are widely used by China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, China Shipping (Group) Company, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, Maritime Safety Administration of the People’s Republic of China, Rescue Bureau, Formosa Plastics Corporation, MSC and other domestic and oversea ship-owners, Waigaoqiao, Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd, Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., LTD, Jinling Shipyard and other domestic and oversea shipbuilding groups, and have been shipped to over 30 countries and regions such as Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Greece, Singapore, Korea and Vietnam.

The head office of the Company is located in TsingHua Science Park, with several branch offices in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Yantai, Hongkong and Vietnam. The Highlander production base is established in Changping district of Beijing, with professional production line and advanced equipments for production, examination and testing. The production base adopted the ISO9000 Certification in 2004, with its production process and quality control exactly follow international standard. It was also approved by BSH in Germany in 2005..
